"Possible David Wright Replacements"

With David Wright basically being out until September the earliest. I compiled a list of possible replacements at 3rd base.

1. Wilmer Flores- Homegrown hero, Flores is a beloved Met who has been hitting quite well since becoming an established player in the line up. Deja Vu. See more about him here http://metrosportstalk.blogspot.com/2016/06/let-flores-fly.html.

2. Miguel Prado- He would be a rental, but we wouldn't have to give up that much for a guy who is hitting very respectably this year and has some playoff experience.

3. Nolan Arenado - He would be the ideal player the Mets need. The problem is he would come at a price of possibly Duda and Wheeler. But the Mets have to look forward to this year.

Bring Up Brandon

With the offense looking at bad as it has, it might be time to take a chance on a minor leaguer. Sandy Alderson really believes is might be that time for Brandon Nimmo. Alejandro De Aza is just not working out as a platoon player. He is hitting under .200 and not really showing any signs of getting better.
Their can only be upside to bringing him up. He is hitting .330 in Vegas and is showing signs of being able to be an everyday player. At this point in the season and where the offense has been, there is nothing to lose from making the move.

Let Flores Fly

Wilmer Flores became a folk hero in New York Mets Baseball last year in what has been named, "The Crying Game". It was a game that was close to the trade deadline where in middle of the game Wilmer found out he was going to be traded to the Brewers. He began to cry on the field.
After finding out the trade didn't go through, Flores caught on fire and basically named himself a Met for life. This type of emotion endears you to the fans.
Welcome 2016. We acquired Asdrubal Cabrerra and Neil Walker and just like that Flores didn't have a spot to start in. He started the year as a bench player and averaged measly .167 click. David Wright went down with a neck injury, which when you couple with his already bad back is a damning injury. Flores has his chance to be full time player again! Guess what. He's on fire as of today. He is the bright spot in the bottom of our lineup, which we need so desperately now until we can make some moves.
I would never suggest that David doesn't play this year because that would be blasphemy. However, let him take his time getting back to as good as he can.
Let's see what this kid can do.
